Hi Guys,
The Club had organized a special pool screening for the 27th of March, but due to unforseen circumstances we’ve had to change the venue. There will still be a screening but just not at the pool. ^_^
Instead, the confirmed details are as follows:
Date: Tuesday, 27th March 2007.
Venue: Visual & Performing Arts Department’s Theatrette (Building 21).
Cost: Members are free and non-members are $2.
Food: Drinks and snacks for all attending! ^_^ Yummy.
Time: Doors open 6pm, screening starts at 6:30pm.
Title: We’ll be doing a special commemeration to the title that setup a new genre in Anime, the highly respected ‘Ghost In The Shell’ .
Transport: For all those that need help with transport. The last bus leaves University at 8:15pm.
So come along and drag a mate, or two, and be prepared to be braught back to the time when Anime was making more then a name for itself.

Hi Guys,
Sadly, the screening to be held on the 23rd will showcase the last episodes of ‘Requiem from the Darkness’.
But, don’t fear, the next title will certainly satisfy any Anime thurst. Black Blood Brothers will diminish those craving for adventure, comedy, drama, fantasy, shounen, and the supernatural because it’s got it all!
Plot: Ten years after the Holy War in Hong Kong, Mochizuki Jirou, a.k.a the Silver Blade, the lone hero who fought and defeated the Kowloon Children despite the loss of his lover, returns to Japan with his young brother, Mochizuki Kotaro. The two quickly discover that the Kowloon Children who survived the Holy War are seeking to infiltrate the “Special Zone” — a thriving city protected by an invisible barrier that will not allow Kowloon Children entrance — unless they’re invited. Red Bloods refer to the humans; Black Bloods are the vampires, and the Mochizuki Brothers are Old Blood—the last descendants of an elite clan of vampires. When Kotaro is abducted by one of the Kowloon Children, Jirou has no choice but to fight once more. (Extract from AnimeNewsNetwork.com, 2007)
So come along, this Friday and every Friday afterwards, to the Visual & Performing Arts Department’s Theatrette at 5pm till 8pm and experiance what BBB has to offer.

Hi All,
For the month of March the CSU Anime Club will be proud to hold its very first competition for both members and non-members to come up with a design to place on our Club’s membership cards.
So if you think your up to it, take a look at the following attachments and have fun designing with limitless possibilities.
The best of luck to all participants.
And yes there is a prize! But, we’re only providing teasers as to what it could be. ^_^ (But a very helpful hint is that it does involve Anime … $120.00 worth to be exact.) But, we’re not giving anything away … not really. ^_^

For the second week of this semester screenings will happen as follows:
(8th March) Thursday: 1pm till 4pm
(9th March) Friday: 4pm till 7pm
For those that won’t be able to attend the screening on Thursday please make it to the Friday screening. You need not attend both, as the same episodes of ‘Requiem from the Darkness’ will be screened for both days … unless you really like the series, by all means come to both! ^_^
At the screenings we’ll be inquiring about when members can attend, and from those results schedule future screenigs as wished. So please come along, or drop the club a line at animeclub.csu@gmail.com if you’d like to make any requests about screening times.
The screenings will take place at the Visual & Performing Arts Department’s Theatrette.

Ssshhhh … can’t you hear it? The cries of lost innocence.
In a world where depravity, ignorance, and carnality run rapid, innocence drowns in the abyss of humanitarian decay. Or does it? Can one man, exposed to the dark side of the human psyche, keep his sanity and truly call himself human?
The 8th of March marks the first official screening date for the Club, at the Visual & Performing Arts Department’s Theatrette, from 1pm till 4pm. So come along and bask in the world of Anime as we start our first year with the, reality questioning, tales from Momosuke Yamaoka’s book of 100 ghost stories in the series ‘Requiem from the Darkness’.
