Madman have just announced their distribution rights for it …It’s based on the world-wide acclaimed hit manga series drawn by Takeshi Obata and story by Tsugumi Ooba…It can be yours to own from February 2008 from Madman…

All volumes will be available from Madman in a Limited Edition bundled with a character figure…

Some very voltaic news about Studio Ghibli!!! The CSU Anime Club is very excited to announce that their latest release, “Tales from EarthSea”, will be showing for two days only at the Forum 6 Cinemas.

Confirmed Details are as follows:

Tickets:
Go on sale from the 1st of August, Wednesday.
If you purchase them from the University’s Cashiers (from August 1), or from the Anime Club Executives, all you need to pay is $10.00. (Cheaper than what you’d pay as a student at the cinemas…YAY.)

Venue:
Forum 6 Cinemas, 77 Trail St. Wagga Wagga.

Screening Dates & Time:
This title will ONLY play on Saturday the 11th and Sunday the 12th of August, 2007. At 4:45pm on both days.

To salute the end of the first semester of 2007, our last screenings are going out with an intricate tale full of spooks.

Ghost Hunt

Telling ghost stories is a favorite past time of Mai Taniyama and her friends. That is, until she meets 17 year-old Kazuya Shibuya, from Shibuya Psychic Research Center. He is at Mai’s school to investigate supposed paranormal activity. When Mai gets caught in a dangerous situation, she is rescued by Kazuya’s assistant. Saving her lands the assistant incapacitated, and Kazuya proposes that Mai become his assistant.

The pub crawl couldn’t have happen without the support of those that showed up. (Espeically those that dressed up!)

We’re having a Pub Crawl on Friday 25th May. This Friday we’ll be starting at the Crow Bar, Unwind, at 3:30pm before heading into town on the bus!

The Theme is Super Heroes! You don’t have to be an Anime character so you can be Superman, Wonder Woman or one of the Fantastic Four. We want to see you all get dressed up! ^_^

On the 23rd of May, the Anime Club will be hosting a barbecue at the Tav (over the hill) from 7:30pm. Members are entitled to a free sausage, so please bring your membership card. All are welcome to this barbecue! All sausages for that night will be $1.50. Show your support for the Anime spirit and eat to your hearts content!

As a small fundraising event for future Club ventures, the Club is setting up a raffle.

The Prize:
Fullmetal Alchemist [the Movie]: Conqueror of Shamballa.
Ticket Prices:
50c for 1 ticket, or, $1.00 for 3 tickets.
Who can purchase tickets:
Absolutely anyone … you don’t need to be a Club member to enter.
When can the tickets be purchased and from whom:
The tickets are on sale now! They can be purchased at the screenings, at the barbecue (23rd May), at the pub crawl (25th May), or you can email us at animeclub.csu@gmail.com if you want to organize a time to purchase it.
When the winner be drawn:
The winner will be announced on the 1st June … so get in quick!
